Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) is a concentrated form of bone marrow that provides both growth factors and stem cells to treat more extensive tendon injuries.  Bone marrow is collected from the ilium or sternum and concentrated in a special centrifuge.  The concentrate is then injected into the affected tendon or ligament under ultrasound guidance.  BMAC can also be used in conjunction with PRP to treat larger tendon or ligament lesions.
