Clinic Services

Certain types of procedures and problems may be better dealt with in the controlled clinic environment.  Our 5000 square foot facility includes:

• Six stalls, including one isolation stall and one  climate-controlled intensive care stall
• Fully equipped treatment room
• Surgical suite, with a fully padded induction and recovery room.  
• Digital radiography
• Endoscopy
• Ultrasonography

This allows the Dominion Equine Clinic veterinarians and staff to provide care for the patients that cannot be managed on the farm.  Additionally, selected surgical procedures such as cryptorchid castrations, check ligament desmotomy, eye enucleation and others are offered.

Finally, advanced ophthalmology evaluations and ophthalmic surgeries are available through the services of Animal Eye Care, located in Chesapeake, VA.  Veterinary opthalmologists are available for appointments at our clinic, and horses may be hospitalized for continuous treatment of severe ocular disorders.
